Chrysanthemum Flower Tutorial

Hi everyone! How's your day? Today I want to share how to make  felt chrysanthemum flower. I use blue color for the flower and green for the leaves. It’s up to you if you want to change the color after this. This is one of the simplest easy to make flower. The size of the flower is 3 inch in diameter. You can make it as a headband, brooch or sew it to your bag. All right let’s get started.

1) Firstly, you must have all the materials needed for the flower. I use dark blue felt, light blue felt, and dark green felt for the flower and scissors, glue, ruler and invisible pen.

2) Secondly, cut one rectangle with the size 1” X 9” from the dark blue felt and two rectangles 2” X 9” from the light blue felt like the picture below. (You can use only one rectangle for the light blue felt but add the length to 2" X 18").
* You can use different color for the third felt.

3) Cut the dark blue felt vertically like the picture below.

4) For the light blue felt fold the felt into two and cut it vertically similar to the dark blue felt above.  The second light blue felt cut it a bit wider to make the edges of the flower looks big.

5) Take the dark blue felt and roll the felt. Glue the bottom part of the felt.

6) Roll the first light blue felt to the dark blue felt and repeat it with the second blue felt. Press the top of the flower.

7) Draw the line of the leaf to the felt and cut it. I use 3 leaves for the flower. The size of the leaf is about 2.5 inch wide and 3.5 inch height.

8) Glue the leaves at the back of the flower as in the picture below.

9) Your flower is done!;-)
