How To Achieve A Big Goal??

Everyone has a huge personal goal they want to accomplish a big, challenging, amazing goal. They think about it, dream about it, obsess about it but most of us never accomplish it. My big goals? I want to quit my day job and spend my time with my kids. It's achievable, but I know it takes a long time to achieve it. How about yours? Do you have small or big goals?  Or maybe you think your goals are just too big to accomplish? So for today's post I want to share how to achieve the goals. From Mr. Google, I find there are 5 key characteristics of successful goal setting.

1) Write your goals - Just write your goals. Big or small ones, and then take a look at each goals. If the goal are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and has deadlines. Your goal is realistic. So, continue with the next step.

2) Break the goals into smaller steps - Small task is more easy to complete. Remember A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step. Every time you finish a task give yourself a small gift to motivate yourself to complete the next task.

3) Believe it possible - Every time you want to accomplish a new task, just believe in yourself. No one will believe in whatever you do, except you.

4) Take ACTION - No matter how small or big  your goals, if you don't take action. Nothing will change. So, let's get started!

How To Manage Time For Crafting??

Hi, It's more than 2 weeks since my last blogpost. Yeah, you know as a working mum and teacher at the same time it's quite difficult to find time to sew all the headbands. I start my sewing hobby somewhere around Mac 2011 until 2012. And then I stop for 2 years,(almost 3 years actually!) The most difficult thing to do is finding  balance with my family and work.

I get married in 2012, and I live with my parents. I still can find the balance with my schoolwork, and crafting. But when I get pregnant, deliver my first baby, live with my husband, it’s quite difficult to find the right time to sew. I just have the time for schoolwork and my family only. Managing my time for crafting is really difficult during that time.

That’s why I stop for a long time. But I just can’t give up. I still love looking around ETSY and want to open a shop. Without a sewing machine, I sew with my hands until I deliver my second baby, a daughter. I sew a headband for my daughter with my hands.  And from there I finally get an idea, why don’t I sew a baby headband! Small, cute, easy to sew and lightweight! Easy to carry everywhere I go, just glue, sew a bit and it’s done!

I make at least one baby headband per day or more. I’ll make sure the headband is neat, quality materials, and look beautiful when wearing. So how I find or manage my time to do all the crafting works?

Everyone of us have 24 hours per day. So every minute is important. For example, if I have 1 hour to finish my work, I try to finish it earlier 45-50 minutes. So I have 10 minutes free time to continue my sewing work. Divide your time into 4 grids, the urgent, not urgent, important and not important like the picture below:

Picture from google

After dividing my tasks, I can figure out where to get my free time:
  1.  I sew when my baby is sleep, (15 minutes)
  2. When I waiting for my husband after work, (15 minutes)
  3. During school recess time (15 minutes)
  4. At work, when there is no class/schoolwork (15 minutes)

 My New Headband

So I get at least 1 hour per day! Yeah, maybe it's slow to finish all the headbands, but at least I still have new headbands. So, how about yours? Any tips how to manage your time?

Lets Make Flower Headbands!

Hi again! I  already make some flower headbands and open my Etsy shop. So for those of you who want to take a look at my shop, just click here. Most of the headbands here is a felt flower headbands.

I like felt flower headbands, but at the same time I try to learn to make fabric flower headbands. At least the customers have more choice to choose which one is their favourite. Some of the beautiful flower I pick from supplier is just adorable. But the only problem is, there a lot of similarities with other sellers if I just use one type of flower to make a headbands. I try to make something different from other sellers.

So I combine more flowers to make it different. Here are some of the material and flowers that I make to create my flower headbands. I will post some ready made headbands in my Etsy Shop, if you like it, to forget to get one ya! Have a great day everyone!

DIY Headband - How To Make Headband

-                    Good day everyone, it’s been a long time I haven’t write anything for my blog. How are you? Hope everyone is fine.  Just to start a new writing experience so I write a new blog with a new  title. And also a new product line. Yes! A new product line. A Flower headband.

I’m not trying to change my sewing hobby from a bag to a headband. But there are too many things happen during last two years. I get married and having babies.  And now I no longer staying with my parents anymore but staying with my husband in another place, and you know I didn’t bring my sewing machine together. So, I stop for a while until wait for a stable life so I can continue my crafting hobby again. I still love to create but lack of time and materials especially my sewing machine. Okay, stop about my story, 2 years story that’s a lot to write! All right,  I think let’s talk about my new creation.

-                     Why I choose headband? The main reason, it’s a small thing where I can sew or glue it without carrying my heavy sewing machine anywhere. So, I stick with it. So to my daughter, no need to search for flower headbands anymore. The headband special made for you. Haha!

-          So to motivate myself to making those flower headbands, I write 3 missions for this year ( Hope everything going smooth).

-          1) Sew custom made headband
-          2) Make unique, pretty and fashionable design.
-          3) Provide supplies for other crafters.

So for everyone out there, if you need ready-made ,  custom made headbands or supplies to make headbands. Don’t forget to check my blog..  I’ll update it regularly. Just email me for any inquiries. So, how about your mission? Is it still in progress, just started like mine or already achieve it?
